A student life considers tough recovering skills due to going out a lot. Traditionally, students are often be bored and do not know what to do in particular during semester breaks. That’s why they are looking for interaction and new connections. Going out supports all of that. However, spending nights and weekends in nightclubs and bars has got disadvantages, though. Assumed you have been drinking alcohol the whole night you might have got a bad hangover next morning. If not you are at least exhausted from dancing and chatting whole night. So next morning you may weak up completely starving. According to be the leading drinking population the English invented a breakfast, which is so heavy and fatty that your stomach is busy for the next days. So I want to introduce you to a special breakfast from the island:

Full English Ingredients

Ingredients for 1 starving person:

  • 200 g white or brown mushrooms
  • 2 – 3 pork sausages
  • 250 ml (1/2 can) baked beans
  • 3 eggs (scrambled eggs)
  • 1 tomato
  • 100 g (3 slices) bacon
  • 1 toast slice

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to almost 120°C, put the bacon slices on alum foil and give it in the ovenBacon
  2. Cut the mushrooms into small slices and fry them in a pan
  3. Open the can of baked beans and heat them up in a pot; add some sour cream if you want the tomato sauce more creamy
  4. Open the eggs and put them into a bowl (without eggshell … ); add a cut tomato and stir the items; add some pepper and salt
  5. Give the bowl content to a pan and stir-fry it to achive a nice scrambled egg
  6. Besides fry the pork sausages until they are slightly brown
  7. After all do not forget to put the bacon out of the oven – the bacon is finished, when it is a bit rolled and crispy

Hint: You are going to need a big pan!

12 Minutes later everything is finished and prepared for a heavy and fatty hangover breakfast … Cheers!

Ratatouille

Ratatouille is a typical Provençal meal. For it consists exclusively of vegetables, we recommend to serve it with delicious garlic baguette. Sheer poetry!!

Ingredients

Ratatouille

  • 2 zucchini
  • 2 eggplantsIngredients
  • 4-5 tomatoes
  • red, green and yellow peppers, one of each
  • 1 big onion
  • 1-2 garlic gloves
  • olive oil
  • pepper & salt, Provençal herbs

  • 1 big French bread
  • ½ package butter (125g)
  • 3-4 garlic gloves
  • herbs after your fancy

Preparation

Prepare the garlic baguette first, it can bake while you make the Ratatouille.mellow butter

  1. Let the butter soften then halve the baguette lengthwise.
  2. Chop the garlic (and the herbs you’ve chosen) finely and add it to the butter.
  3. Mix it with pepper&salt and taste it before you spread the bread with it.
  4. Bake it for 10-15 minutes at about 180 degrees.

Ratatouille

  1. Slice the onion and the garlic gloves finely and sauté it in olive oil till the onions are smooth.peppers
  2. Cut the peppers into squares and add it to the onions. Sauté it for about 3 minutes.
  3. Repeat that with the eggplants and zucchinis.
  4. Cut the tomatoes into small pieces, add it to the other vegetables and flavor the thing.
  5. Cook it till the consistency is proper.

Marble cake

Ingredients of a marble cake:ingredients

  • 300 g butter
  • 180 g sugar
  • 1 pack vanilla sugar
  • some salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 375 g flour
  • 1-2 tablespoonsful of chocolate spread (Nutella)
  • 200 g cherries
  • some black and some white couverture chocolate
  • 6 tablespoonsful of milk
  • 1 pack baking powder

Progress:

First of all you heat up the butter and put it with flour, sugar, salt, eggs, milk and the baking powder in a bowl. Afterwards you mix it up properly.

The next stept is to add the 1-2 tablespoonsful of chocolate spread to it.

At the end you add the cut black and white couverture chocolate and the cherries to it. You must not use a mixer because the chocolate and the cherry shell remain in pieces.

Oven temperature: 190 degree Time: 30 minutes


Pizza

You need following ingredients to make Pizza dough for 4 persons:ingredients

  • 300 g flour
  • some salt
  • 2-3 tablespoonsful of sun flower oil
  • 1 cup full of hot water
  • yeast or dry yeast

How do I make Pizza dough?

Making a Pizza dough is very simple. You mix the flour and the yeast in a bowl.

Afterwards you add the oil, salt and the cup of hot water to it and you mix it up again. A mixer makes it much easier!

When the Pizza dough looks like the dough on the picture below, you put it under a blanket and it expands by the yeast within 20 minutes.

When the Pizza dough is ready, you just have to roll it on a baking sheet out.

What tastes good on Pizza?

Actually, You can put on Pizza whatever you like. Cheese and smashed tomatoes are the basics. I have put salami and some onion on it.

Rissoles

This time we want to show you how to make rissoles. A very tasty and yet not difficult recipe.

Ingredients

  • 500g mixed mincemeat
  • 1 bun
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 onion
  • paprika, pepper & salt
  • breadcrumbs

Preparation

1. Put the bun in a bowl of water and wait until it is completely soaked with the water. Then wring it out so that it isn’t too wet.

2. Cut the onion into small pieces. No need to cry. It will be delicious.

3. Put the mincemeat together with the bun, the onion, the two eggs and some paprika, pepper & salt in a bowl. Don’t be too sparing with the spicery. It’s a lot of meat, so it can use a lot of spicery.

4. Mix it all up as good as you can. The bun should be totally dispersed. If the meat is too wet now, you can add some of the breadcrumbs. That should dry it up a little bit.

5. Now you can knead meatballs out of the meat. You can make 6-8 rissoles out of 500g mincemeat depending on how big you make them. Then put them in a pan and fry them.

In the end you will get delicious rissoles. As a side dish you can make potatoes or noodles and some fresh vegetables. That depends on your own preferences.

Rissoles

This is probably gonna be the best dessert you’ve ever eaten. Here’s how you prepare it.

You need:

  • hand mixer / whisk
  • oven dish

  • any kind of cake (can be a bought one)
  • up to 3 glasses of apple juice
  • any kind of marmalade
  • vanilla-pudding
  • (1/2 l milk)
  • cream

Preparation

1.    Cut the cake into pieces – enough to cover the bottom of the oven dish (fill gaps with smaller parts).

2.    Pour the juice over it, so that it’s totally soaked.

3.    Spread marmalade on top of it (for the size of our dish, that would be 2 or 3 tablespoons).

4.    Prepare the pudding. Of course the easiest way is to use a pudding mixture. Spread it as the next layer and let it cool off.

6.    Whip the cream and spread it as the final layer and you’re done. Leave it untouched for a while to increase the taste.

This is a really special dessert and there are a lot of ways to get it done. The following list contains slight changes in the prpcedure:

  • You like to bake a lot and sometimes make your own cakes? When they’re getting to dry to eat, this is what you do with the rest.
  • Choose different kinds of marmalade every time.
  • You can prepare the pudding with a mixture like we did, or make it entirely on your own. If you’re lazy just buy ready-to-eat pudding. This should change the final taste of the dish.
  • Try chocolate pudding.
  • Of course you can also pick ready-to-eat cream to fasten things up.

Today, we show you how to cook gnocchi with fresh pesto. Pesto is the green stuff which comes from Italy. It tastes good with noodles gnocchi and bread etc. Gnocchi is also an Italian dish which is mainly made of potatoes. You need following ingredients to cook pesto for 4 persons:

  • 50-75 g fresh basil leaves
  • 30 g pine nuts
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 6 tablespoonsful of olive oil
  • 50 g shaved Parmesan
  • some salt
  • some pepper

At first you wash the basil leaves and cut it with the garlic in small pieces. Afterwards you put the basil leaves and the garlic with some pepper and salt in a mixer. If you don`t have a mixer, you can also use a hand-held blender. After mixing you add 6 tablespoonsful (maybe more) of olive oil and the 30 g pine nuts. It is better to add the pine nuts at the end that they are not mixed too small. In the end you add the parmesan.

Our result:  The pesto tastes very good and much fresher than a bought one. It takes about 7 minutes, so it’s not much work.

Gnocchi

You need following ingredients for 4 persons:

  • 500 g potatoes
  • 90 g flour
  • 2 eegs
  • some oil
  • some salt and some pepper

At first we have to say that we figuered out:  Making gnocchi is not so easy. Therefore we want to show you how to do it step by step.

You boil the potatoes 15-20 minutes until they get soft. The second stept is to add the flour, the eggs and the potatoes in one bowl that you mash them altogether.

After you have a smooth dough you can start kneading. It should have a form like a sausage. (the pics help you to understand). You cut  them into small gnocchi pieces and put them on a packing paper. When you have formed all the dough to gnocchi, you put them in boiling water. After 10 minutes you can enjoy your selfmade gnocchi.

Our result: The gnocchi take too much time for only 4 persons. It tastes very good and the pesto fits to the gnocchi. ( 1 hour)
